Just meh!
Despite the array of Indian color everywhere, pretty bland, colorless contribution from each actor. None particularly stood out as good.
Martin Henderson as Mr. Darcy was especially bad, it seemed that he could not be bothered.…
"This movie sits in my top ten most watched of all time and for good reason: it's the classic Jane Austen story we all know and love but with a fun Bollywood-style twist. Expect beautiful colors and scenery throughout as well as fun…

It's not a word-by-word translation of the book, but it captures the story and characters in a fun way. At points where the book has sharp and witty dialog, this movie often inserts "Bollywood-style" musical and dance numbers (but some of…

Gurinder Chadha ("Bend It Like Beckham") directs this Bollywood-infused turn on "Pride and Prejudice". Aishwarya Rai is stunning, as usual, and displays the warmth and wit we expect from any Elizabeth Bennet. The film is visually beautiful…

A tri-cultural re-interpretation of a feminist classic love story (Pride & Prejudice) and good introduction to the Indian "Bollywood" style of story-telling. The director is upfront--and I agree with her--that the jump to sudden musicals…

Real fans of Pride and Prejudice may be disappointed that this adaptation doesn't have their favorite bit, but it's interesting to see how much is included in this short a film. The characters do suffer a bit in translation, but it's cute.

I enjoyed it, especially the great dance scenes (as usual), but I would have preferred the film in Hindi with English subtitles (like most Bollywood films) rather than in English.

When good ideas go bad. Well, not bad exactly, but undeveloped. Pride and Prejudice set in modern times, with gender roles, racism, and neo-colonialism substituting for the class barriers in the original -- what could go wrong? But on…

I loved the original version and i also loved this version. Its a good twist on the story and the dancing was awesome. The cast was good too and they stayed very close to the originl story.

Quite a delightful romantic movie! I loved getting to experience Indian tradition, to see the family dynamics and bonds, and the romantic tribulations of the main characters. In the end, it shows that love is universal and can triumph all.…

all the fun of the bollywood films i have seen, but without needing to read subtitles. This was a great interpretation of Pride and Prejudice and was probably one of the reasons i went in search of more bollywood films.

Swirling colors, swoony music and 4 beautiful sisters, in a Bollywood update of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. Some terrific humor with goofy suitor Mr Kohli.
