Add a CommentI have a 2 and 5 year old and neither could get into this book. The language was too repetitive and simple for the 5 year old but the math/dividing concept was over the head of the 2 year old. Also I didn't appreciate the dated depiction of the mom doing all the housework and the kids being oblivious and demanding. Leave it in 1986.

This book is a classic! It has lasted the test of time and is routinely requested by second grade teachers for the lesson in sharing and how to divide a batch of cookies :)
