well written and easy to read, which is good cause there a a lot to know. It also contains recipes for many different soaps, and how to trouble shoot problems. try it and you will never buy soap again

I loved this book! It's full of very useful and very detailed information. It's a bit outdated though; the author has a hard time sourcing her palm oil and such, but now ordering on the internet is very easy.

Overall, I like this book as a general overview of cold soap making. It's like my mini bible...I trust her word more than other authors! However, her recipes are huge and not practical for the household soaper....Her sequel has smaller recipes.
