I read this book at the suggestion of my father. I agree with his review of this awesome book; it should appeal to any teenage reader or adult who is a lover of historical fiction. Doctor-at-Bass! Taylor A.

Also published in North America in 2007 as Genghis – Birth of an Empire. I totally agreed with ‘willi03’ - Conn Iggulden’s – ‘Wolf of the Plains,’ Conqueror Series Book 1 was an AWESOME book. I too found this book was hard to put down. If you are a lover of Historical Fiction, this book is for you. The book was very fast paced taking the reader from one high point or crisis to another in the young life of Genghis Temujin Khan. While rated as an adult / fiction, I can say it should be appropriate and of interest to any reader 15 and older. Regretfully, there is only one copy of book two ‘Lords of the Bow’ in the Conqueror Series available at the Library. Senior Doctor-at-Bass! D. A.

A very enjoyable historical fiction book that I found hard to put down. Read the series which is now up to book four.

If you like action and graphic battles mixed with history this is a great book.

This is a great book. It's a case of strapping on the seatbelt and going for the ride. This is the first of a series of three. Enjoy.
