"Knit Two" returns to Walker and Daughter, the Manhattan knitting store founded by Georgia Walker and her young daughter, Dakota. Dakota is now an eighteen-year-old freshman at NYU, running the little yarn shop part-time with help from the members of the Friday Night Knitting Club. The knitters rely on each other as they struggle with new challenges: for Catherine, finding love after divorce; for Darwin, the hope for a family; for Lucie, being both a single mom and a caregiver for her elderly mother; and for seventy-something Anita, a proposal of marriage from her sweetheart, Marty, that provokes the objections of her grown children.--Publisher description.

The emotions in this series are a bit too raw for my liking. However, this novel, the second in the series, is better than the first. There is also no need to read the first one before reading this one, as any holes are filled in by the author. My main reason for reading this series was to see how the author worked the knitting culture into her story. My take on this: only a moderate success. Personally, I wouldn't recommend this series.

The second in the series following "The Friday Night Knitting Club. This one examines the group dynamics 5 years after the founder, Georgia, died from ovarian cancer. Her daughter, partner and friends are still dealing with her loss--this got a little overwhelming at times, but the ending resolves itself well and left me looking forward to the next in the series.
