I really enjoyed this book, moreso because you just knew there was no way he was going to say goodbye to all that he built that easily just because he got cornered by his kids, especially since he essentially killed he son to do so in the first place. Makes me wonder what on earth happened to the mother, if she's the machine or is something else.

Replica by Jenna Black was unlike any story I’ve ever read! The futuristic time period and run-down settings are perfect for the plot. I liked the different look on a dystopian society with replications as an option. What I always look for in a story is a non-biased description from both a rich, and poor end of society. And, this story delivers what I was looking for! With Nadia and Nate searching through run-down districts and posh high-rises for Nate’s killer, it is no wonder this book kept me on my toes!
As for the title, I believe it suits the story quite well, because the plot is all about Nate’s replica trying to find the murderer of his real body. The story is full of plot twists and climactic events as the authorities try to stop Nate and Nadia from investigating his brutal demise.
It begins at a mansion, where we get to learn a bit of Nadia and Nate’s back-story as they dance. But, it is not long before Nate’s dead body is discovered in a closet. Although he does have a replica that has all his memories, he can only retain the memories he had up until before his last memory back-up. This does not include who murdered him, and why they did it. For the majority of the story Nadia and Nate’s replica go on thrilling clue-finding adventures to solve the mystery of Nate’s death. For the other portion, they’re pretending like nothing was ever wrong, to keep everyone second-guessing.
Overall, Replica by Jenna Black was a fantastic novel for any mystery lover!
