Family is in essence a small nation, and the nation a large family. This is the sentence that propels Fire Lord Zuko to search for his mother in order to bring peace to his family and learn how to rule his nation.

Add a CommentAvatar fans waited a long while for this series, and the graphic novel definitely does not disappoint. I can't imagine why Nickelodeon wouldn't produce this as a miniseries; apart from the late, great Mako surely it wouldn't be hard to get the voice cast and animators back together for a 5-8 episode run?
The search begins. The creators of the TV show Avatar; The Last Airbender finally answer the one question fans were left with. What happened to Zuko's mother. Continuing from where The Promise left off, Aang and friends continue their adventures, bridging the gap of events that happened between avatar Aang, and the new avatar Korra. Further steps are taken to make a connection in volumes two and three by having more spirit encounters, thus speaking to a shift in focus that occurs during Korra. However, the main topic is about family, which is shown namely through Zuko's desire to reconnect with not only his mother, but to repair his relationship with his sister Azula as well. The images are of the same quality as the TV series, and the story features the same mixture of humour and quality themes that fans expect. The answer to this long-awaited answer will not disappoint.
This book was really entertaining and had a really intriguing plot twist near the end. I can't wait to read the next volume!
such a great story
Book One of the sequel series to the sequel series "The Promise." Aang, Zuko and the gang are on a quest and finally the biggest question fans had after the "Last Airbender" Series ended, will be answered- WHAT HAPPENED TO ZUKO'S MOM! Its a super fun read, filled with new and old faces from the Avatar series! And there's an UNBELIEVABLE twist near the end! Definitely worth reading!
A fun continuation of the series, trying to answer some of the questions while showing the development into the world of Korra. I could've done without the twist at the end.
