Read this because I saw him on Battle of the Blades. There is a lot of facets to this man. He is passionate about his beliefs and goes beyond words to action. I enjoyed this book very much even though I am not a hockey fan, and gained much respect for his honesty and principles.

I picked up this book entirely because it was recommended by Laurie Greenwood of Greenwood's Books . . .I'm so glad I did. A great autobiography that covers a lot of ground - yes, hockey, but also racism, overcoming obstacles, veganism, Haiti and much more. Georges Laraque's life, opinions and perspectives are sure to be of interest to more than just hockey fans - there's a great deal more to this tough guy than meets the eye.
