I liked the fact that a lot of her recipes use simple ingredients, things that you may have already at home or are easily accessible. This book is on my 'to purchase' list, as I want to make every recipe!

Totally agree with the other reviewer, this book covers many essential cooking techniques for legumes and nuts. Beautifully illustrated which we all love in a cookbook from the title page to the end. Loved the many tips especially the one about needing three essentials in a recipe - salt, sugar and an acid. Two recipes on my must try list - the life changing loaf of bread with olives and caraway which started her blogging career as well as the strawberry chamomile tea yogurt ice cream. Every page is a winner!

I especially liked the Essential Techniques section. How to cook dried legumes, grains etc. was extremely helpful.
The book is set up in sections by season which is great for gathering your ingredients at the right time of year. The back of the book also features a chapter on stocking your pantry which is great for making sure you have the right ingredients on hand.

Sarah Britton is like that cool, funny, amazingly talented friend that you've actually never met. She has a great blog, beautiful cookbook, and now a handy new app for iPhones. Creative and unique recipes delivered with kindness and wit.
