It's been a while since I read Prudence, but it was very easy to fall back into these characters and I really enjoy the humor and relationships between them.

Glad to have discovered Gail Carriger's books. This was cheeky and cleverly written. Will certainly read more by this author, and soon!

I love the cheeky characters that Carriger creates! While the Parasol Protectorate series will always be my favorite, I thoroughly enjoyed Prudence's sass and independence. These books are perfect for anyone looking for super fun times. I highly recommend the audiobook if you're feeling adventurous! Bonus: We got more of Lady Maccon and her erstwhile werewolf husband in this book!

I enjoyed this duology about Prudence and her crew. I still like the Parasol Protectorate better however, it was interesting to learn more about the characters in their old age and continue the journey into the world Carriger has created. And I love Quesnel!! Also, Prudence is much for forward than her parents ever were which is fun and I enjoyed the ship elements too. It added a bit more adventure to the whole affair.

This book was just plain fun! It was silly and bordered on ridiculous at times, which is part of Carriger's charm. It was bittersweet to see some of the storylines from the Parasol Protectorate series finally wrapped up, but hopefully we will see some old character reappearances in books to come!

Steampunk, romance, and Victorian-era adventure. If you've read Carriger before you'll be delighted by this second entry in the series. Rue continues to delight as she grows up, there are wonderful reunions with favourite characters from the Parasol Protectorate series, and while it's sometimes difficult to figure out just where the meandering plot is going, the ride is entirely worth it. Highly recommended to fans of Carriger's style.

Good fun for fans of Gail Carriger's steam punk world. While we don't see Lord Akeldama much in this volume, there are some interesting reveals about his origins! Plus...Egypt and werelions!
