Really slow, and really boring. Tom Hiddleston did a fantastic job though.

Very disappointing. Main character was good, but the lifestyle was very discouraging. Williams was a good song writer, but his lifestyle shouldn't be celebrated at all. What a waste of talent.

Not a great biopic because it's too episodic; it does not go fully enough into the Nashville milieu. Tom Hiddleston does a fine job, as most have noted, but Elizabeth Olsen seems to have wandered in from another film set, there's no chemistry between the two. Maddie Hasson does well as Hank's second wife.
If you want a great biopic about country music, there's always Sweet Dreams, or Coal Miner's Daughter. Altman directed the wonderful Nashville, which is fictional but brings the whole lifestyle to life.

Five stars for Tom Hiddleston and the one and only Hank Williams and his music. Kudos to Rodney Crowell and his work with Tom Hiddleston to bring back Hank Williams as close to life as humanly possible.

Great performance by Tom Hiddleston. I grew-up in Montgomery, and I have heard about Hank Williams my whole life, but this movie shone a light on things that are not often talked about there: his alcoholism, wandering eye, and even the fact that Hank Williams, Jr. changed his name after his dad's death! Great film, highly recommend!

Unfortunately, despite a knockout performance by lead Tom Hiddleston (who did his own singing), Marc Abraham’s biopic seems to skip a few chapters in Williams’ life resulting in an uneven mix of loose ends and blind alleys which not only fail to convey the man’s popularity but downplay his artistic talents. What we’re left with is a mildly engaging, emotionally neutral story of a handsome hick who sang a few tunes and drank too much. A real pity.

Hank Williams is irreplaceable but this film is replaceable in ways. It does pay tribute to the late and great Hank Williams but the singing is off. His grandson Hank Williams III should've played the part with his voice and looks identical to his grandfather.

Great movie! Tom Hiddleston did an awesome job portraying such a musical legend as Hank Williams. I really appreciate that the movie focused on the telling of the story rather than exploiting all the rumours and gossip.

What a sad end for such a talented man. Tom Hiddleston was excellent, and I understand he sang the songs in the movie. I never realized Hank Williams died so young. I am surprised this movie did not get more acclaim. As good as the Patty Cline Sweet Dreams , or Loretta Lynn Coal Miners Daughter movies, which were huge hits.

Interesting biopic about Hank Sr. I had no idea his life was so short.
