This is a good movie, not a great one overall, but it has its moments. In the end it's a movie about people, the relationships between them (us) and what in the end they (we) find most valuable. It's not a comedy from any aspect. But, it is a metaphor for the place humanity finds itself in at this particular juncture in history. From reading the comments it's obvious a lot of folks were disappointed, and considered it a huge waste of time. I've watched it several times, and each time come away with something valuable. The profanity one reviewer mentioned was to me, an important aspect of the story line, and as all comedy is based in pain provides a bit of both at just the right moment. It's the subtlety of both the movie and the acting I found most enjoyable, a wonderful respite from the normal pummeling of FX and CGI, titillation and excess, bad behavior and ugly consequences that make up a large portion of cinema today.
